A Three-Video Campaign That Reached Over 198K Views on TikTok

Brenda G. Unsworth is the author of Freedom Trail, a young adult novel about survival, suspicion, and finding truth in uncertain times. Our objective was to introduce Freedom Trail to a wider audience using TikTok. The focus was on generating attention, building interest, and increasing recognition of the book among young readers.

Strategy

We kept the visuals grounded and the messaging clear. Each video had a specific goal:

  • Capture interest quickly with tone and setting

  • Connect the book to school and daily life

  • Present the story as something real and current

We avoided voiceovers and heavy effects. The goal was to let the imagery and atmosphere do the work.

  • One pinned video brought in 156.4K views on its own

  • The campaign helped establish a mood that matched the novel

  • Several viewers asked where to find the book
